In officially opening the virtual ACTA 2020 Summit and the Clinical Trials 2020: National Tribute and Awards Ceremony, the Honourable Greg Hunt MP, Minister for Health, acknowledged the work of our medical leaders and researchers as genuine national heroes, in a year that has been like no other.

In his address, the Minister also announced work to be conducted over the coming 12 months on the One-Stop-Shop for Clinical Trials and Human Research Approvals and the National Clinical Trials Front Door.

ACTA is very grateful to the Minister for his continued support of the National Tribute and Awards Ceremony and the continued efforts to harmonise clinical trials in Australia toward enhanced trial approval rates. Modernising, streamlining and simplifying our ethics and governance systems will be an important step to ensuring that Australia’s world-leading clinical researchers can continue to focus on better health through best evidence.
