The PANTHER trial aims to identify patient subgroups within the ARDS population through specific biomarkers, facilitating tailored treatment approaches. By employing a Bayesian Adaptive design, the efficacy of two investigational treatments—simvastatin and baricitinib—will be concurrently evaluated, while allowing for real-time adjustments based on accumulating data. This methodology enhances the trial’s efficiency and safety, optimising resource allocation and participant outcomes. This Virtual Clinic will featured a panel of experts in adaptive platform trials, providing valuable insights and feedback on the trial design and implementation.
