ACTA’s Innovative Trial Design and Conduct Reference Group innovates into two

ACTA’s Innovative Trial Design and Conduct Reference Group attracted so much interest and so many volunteer members defining such a wide scope for its second year of work that the group decided to innovate itself in to two reference groups. Each of the 'new' reference groups focuses on one of two distinct themes: Innovative Clinical Trial Designs and Innovative Outcome Data.

The new Innovative Trial Design Reference Group will focus on areas such as adaptive trials and cluster cross-over designs, while its sibling reference group, Innovative Outcome Data, will investigate novel methods of collecting outcome data, automated electronic patient reported outcomes, and data linkage to administrative datasets.

If you are subscribed to the ACTA mailing list, we will keep you informed of all the innovative findings and resources from the two groups’ work. If you would like to get in touch with any of ACTA’s reference groups, please contact us at info@clinicaltrialsalliance.org.au.

Ahead the Forum, the Impact and Implementation of CTN Trials Reference Group worked to define its Objectives and Directions. The result is available for download from the ACTA website’s Publications Page.
