Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator & Project Manager

The CONNECT Back study is a Commonwealth Government-funded cluster randomised controlled trial based in primary care in the Sydney region. The study will evaluate the implementation of a new team-based model of care for people with low back pain. We seek an experienced Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator & Project Manager, to oversee the day to day running and project management of the study in collaboration with the trial leadership team.

Reporting to the Chief Investigators, Professors Simon French and Mark Hancock, the role will work with project investigators and partners to undertake clinical trial coordination including recruitment of primary care practices, training of general practitioners and musculoskeletal clinicians, and oversight of the intervention roll out. The Coordinator will lead data collection and follow-up, manage the online database system (REDCap) to ensure data quality, and coordinate the process evaluation.

This role will oversee the team of research assistants and clinicians implementing the project and will be responsible for: establishing project priorities; developing training requirements for participating primary care practices; ensuring active communication with study sites; promoting effective collaboration with the study investigators; preparing reports and presentations for funders, meetings and conferences; and other tasks necessary for the successful completion of the study.
