ACTA STInG Webinar: The target trial framework for causal inference: a primer

This talk provided an introduction to the target trial framework for causal inference, which is applicable across a range of observational studies, including registries and observational analyses of randomised trials (e.g. in the presence of non-adherence). The framework is a powerful and intuitive tool to guide the planning, conduct and interpretation of causal analyses, which has contributed to its increased popularity. The presentation described what the framework entails, how it relates to other frameworks, and outlined its advantages and limitations.
