Marking its launch on International Clinical Trials Day, The White Coats Foundation (WCF), has unveiled its first project: a moving and creative “Thank You" video. Aiming to overcome "the white coat stereotype", the video connects clinical trials to their medical and societal benefits, and most of all highlights the invaluable contribution made by the people who volunteer to take part in clinical trials.

An Australian not-for-profit company, WCF is all about raising awareness of the role of clinical trials in advancing medical science and healthcare. It aims to provide access to resources to better inform the public and health care providers about clinical trials. WCF is keen to redefine the "white coat" stereotype, helping people understand that anyone can wear a white coat.
“Clinical trials are often associated with ‘doctors, ‘scientists’, 'pharmaceutical companies’ or people in the health care profession in general. This campaign puts people volunteering for vital clinical trials in the spotlight to thank them for the important role they play in helping develop therapies and treatments,” says White Coats Founder, Christine Zahren.
