Thirty years of NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre

The NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre (CTC) celebrated its 30th anniversary on 1 March at Sydney University and Prof John Zalcberg was proud to be there to represent our members.

He spoke on the topic of registered clinical trials in a self-improving health care system.

The day was marked with a packed program of speakers giving express presentations on the achievements of the CTC and the directions and challenges for its next 30 years.

In its thirty years, the NHMRC has improved global health outcomes; it’s conducted more than 200 trials itself and registered another 16,000, worked with more than a thousand national and international collaborators and engaged with more than 80,000 study participants.
