That’s not just a fun headline. “Remember ACTA member members!” is becoming a communications mantra at ACTA Central. Which is why ACTA Communications Manager, David Barrett, recently sent the following email to our member organisation administrative contacts. Before or after you have read this letter, please consider encouraging colleagues and stakeholders to sign-up to the ACTA mailing list.
Dear colleagues,
As you know, ACTA supports and represents the investigator-led clinical trials sector in Australia. That’s more than 10,000 clinician-researchers, but the ACTA news and events mailing list contains only 1,000 names and we are receiving feedback from people saying they are unaware of ACTA events, news and resources that they are keen to access.
Those “missing 9,000” aren’t on our mailing list for a good reason. For the most part, ACTA members are organisations – CTNs, CTCCs and registries, and we send ACTA mailings to the official contacts we have recorded as representing our member organisations, in addition to people who have signed-up to our mailing list via our website. Understandably, not everybody has time to distribute the news.
We’d be very grateful for your help in extending our effective reach and we are keen that this is done properly through individual mailing list opt-ins.
Please consider sending and commending the sign-up link below to your colleagues and stakeholders. You could email it directly or include it in a newsletter, for example.
If only a small percentage of your colleagues opt-in, perhaps twice as many clinician-researchers will have more immediate access to the benefits of ACTA’s work on behalf of the sector.

Thank you for your support.
