ACTA and MTAA Announce New Clinical Trials Partnership

ACTA has entered into a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA), marking an important step forward in strengthening collaboration across Australia’s clinical trials sector.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing high-quality clinical research and supporting a more connected, efficient and innovative clinical trials environment nationwide. By working together, ACTA and MTAA aim to support the generation of robust clinical evidence that underpins the safe and effective adoption of new medical technologies.

Clinical studies play a critical role beyond research alone. They build confidence in emerging medical technologies, support clinicians with the evidence they need to inform practice, and help ensure patients can access innovation more quickly and reliably.

Through this collaboration, ACTA will work closely with MTAA to foster stronger links between researchers, clinicians, industry and the broader health system. The partnership is expected to contribute to improved translation of research into real-world outcomes, ultimately benefiting patients and helping to save lives.

ACTA looks forward to working with MTAA to support a stronger, more integrated clinical trials ecosystem that continues to drive innovation and excellence across Australia.
