Recipient of the most prestigious award in Australian journalism, and the face of ABC Radio National’s Health Report, Dr Norman Swan will be the headline speaker at the ACTA International Clinical Trial Conference dinner on Friday 4 October.
Dr Swan was one of the first medically qualified journalists in Australia. He graduated in medicine from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and completed post-graduate studies in Paediatrics.
Dr Swan joined the ABC in 1982 and has been leading medical journalism in Australia ever since, with his most well-known work being the investigative program which exposed fraudulent research and led to gynaecologist Dr William McBride being de-registered.
Join us in picking Australia’s top medical reporter’s brain during the social and networking peak of the Conference, the Gala Dinner at Doltone House, Darling Island on Friday 4 October.
