Consumer and Community Involvement in Clinical Trials Workshop

Topics:Consumer Engagement

ACTA recently held a virtual workshop series focused on consumer involvement training with Telethon Kids Institute, to build skills, confidence and capacity for researchers and research organisations to implement involvement activities in clinical trials. More than 20 different organisations representing ACTA networks, registries, coordinating centres, also industry and healthcare institutions participated, sharing practical experiences and learning how to foster growth and leadership around consumer involvement within their work environments.

The workshop team enjoyed connecting with such research and organisational champions, who understand the importance of involving consumers to develop research priorities, design clinical trials that suit the needs of participants and encourage new ways of thinking to share research findings importantly with participants, and the broader community.

We plan to hold larger, open-invite events soon. If you are interested in attending consumer workshop events, please contact us via events@clinicaltrialsalliance.org.au
