Congratulations to all who were recognised for their achievements and good works in the Australia Day honours on 26 Jan 2020. We would particularly like to acknowledge ACTA Members who were awarded in the honours.

Our congratulations to ACTA founding member Professor John Simes AO on his Officer of the Order of Australia recognition in the Australia Day Honours. Prof Simes has been recognised for distinguished service to education and health, in medicine and clinical trials.

Prof Simes is a founding member of ACTA and was a dedicated board member until 2019; he continues to support ACTA and its activities as a valued member of our reference groups.

Professor Rachelle Buchbinder, Professor, Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO).

Prof Buchbinder was recognised for distinguished service to medical education in the fields of epidemiology and rheumatology, and to professional associations.
