The purpose of the CC-SIG is to provide a forum to share knowledge and expertise and engage in collaborative problem solving.
Mission:
To identify and explore ideas for greater cross-sector collaboration and opportunities to improve synergies and partnerships with Clinical Trial Networks, Clinical Trial Coordinating Centres, Clinical Quality Registries and Advanced Health Research and Translation Centres.
ACTA aims to engage Coordinating Centres in Australia, and to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Coordinating Centres and to provide potential recommendations for CC accreditation.
Purpose:
The purpose of the CC-SIG is to provide a forum to share knowledge and expertise and engage in collaborative problem solving.
The Group’s functions are to:
- Share common key challenges and opportunities for Coordinating Centres
- Explore how we can continue to foster growth of Coordinating Centres (e.g. shared learnings, grow capacity and capabilities)
- Explore international Coordinating Centre models and identify opportunities to further adopt best practice approaches (e.g. centres of expertise)
Actions:
The Group is interested in progressing the creation of recommendations for accreditation of Coordinating Centres in Australia. This will utilise existing international accreditation models of coordinating centres and clinical trial units.
