ACTA is delighted to announce that the Hon Greg Hunt MP, Minister for Health and Minister for Sport, will attend the Clinical Trials 2017: National Tribute and Awards Ceremony to present the prestigious ACTA Trial of the Year Award and the inaugural ACTA STInG Excellence in Trial Statistics Award.
"We're tremendously pleased that the Minister for Health will be joining us to honour the outstanding achievements of ACTA members" said Rhiannon Tate, ACTA CEO.
"Public good clinical trials are the mainstay of a high-quality health system. Without them, we simply can't advance clinical care to deliver better outcomes for patients and a smarter, more efficient health system."
"The trials nominated for the award this year are once again of an incredibly high calibre and really do showcase Australia's position as a world leader in the design and conduct of high-impact trials that are saving and improving lives across the globe."
The Clinical Trials 2017: National Tribute & Awards Ceremony is being held as part of Australian celebrations to mark International Clinical Trials Day (celebrated around the world on May 20). The event will be held at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney on May 19 and will be attended by a host of public health and industry representatives.
