ACTA APT Virtual Clinic: the PANTHER trial

Join us for an insightful presentation on the PANTHER trial, an adaptive platform trial targeting Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) in ICU patients. ARDS affects approximately one in four ventilated individuals, contributing to significant morbidity and mortality, with no established effective treatments currently available.

The PANTHER trial aims to identify patient subgroups within the ARDS population through specific biomarkers, facilitating tailored treatment approaches. By employing a Bayesian Adaptive design, the efficacy of two investigational treatments—simvastatin and baricitinib—will be concurrently evaluated, while allowing for real-time adjustments based on accumulating data. This methodology enhances the trial's efficiency and safety, optimising resource allocation and participant outcomes.

This Virtual Clinic will feature a panel of experts in adaptive platform trials, providing valuable insights and feedback on the trial design and implementation. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of platform trials, discussion of best practices, and exploring the implications of adaptive methodologies in clinical research. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with leading researchers and enhance your knowledge of innovative trial designs.
