Following last year’s Medical Research Future Fund grant, the ACTA Board appointed Simone Yendle as General Manager in December. In addition to working with the Board on ACTA strategy, Simone has already recruited most of the team needed to deliver or facilitate ACTA’s Year 2 Activity Plan.
In order of appearance, the strengthened ACTA Central team includes: Katie Legge, Executive Assistant and Administrative Officer; Eloise Faichney, Administrative Assistant; Nicola Straiton, Senior Project Officer; Madeleine Enright, Project Officer; and David Barrett, Communications Manager. The team will be further strengthened in the coming weeks with the appointment of Miranda Cumpston, Senior Program Manager, together with a further Project Officer and Project Assistant. We are currently recruiting an Events Coordinator and a Finance and Operations Manager.
We are grateful to Jenean Spencer for her significant contribution to ACTA's project streams.
Simone commented, “While we work in the background on longer-term strategy, the team’s immediate priorities include building Reference Group and Special Interest Group capability, delivering a successful ACTA 2018 Summit, improving ACTA membership administration and renewal processes, and developing a communications strategy that prioritises regular and meaningful member and stakeholder engagement.”
